The righteous man perishes, and no man takes it to heart;
He enters into peace;
"But come here, you sons of a sorceress,
"Against whom do you jest?
Who inflame yourselves among the oaks,
"Among the smooth stones of the ravine
"Upon a high and lofty mountain
"Behind the door and the doorpost
"You have journeyed to the king with oil
"You were tired out by the length of your road,
"Of whom were you worried and fearful
"I will declare your righteousness and your deeds,
"When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you.
And it will be said,
For thus says the high and exalted One
"For I will not contend forever,
"Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry and struck him;
"I have seen his ways, but I will heal him;
Creating the praise of the lips.
But the wicked are like the tossing sea,
"There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."
